Cleaning your jewelry, pt. 2

I can’t believe I forgot this last tip my jewelry teacher Jordi told me about.  I like it because it’s really old school, his mom used to clean her silver jewelry like this. Here it goes.

Sew a little bag out of cotton fabric, sort of like a mini pillowcase, and put your ring, necklace, etc. inside (only 1 piece so they don’t bump into each other, you’ll see why in a second).  Sew the bag shut.  Do as many bags as pieces you need cleaned.  Now, throw them into the washing machine with your laundry. Cool right?  It’s like a giant tumbler, cleaning and buffing your jewelry while washing clothes.
